Recommended Testosterone Boosting Supplements 4 – 6

My Recommended Testosterone Boosting Supplements, What Are They?

If you’ve seen my Testosterone Boosting Supplements – Do They Work Article – You’ll see that I don’t really rate or recommend the majority of supplements on the market promoted as specifically being a testosterone booster.

In My Recommended Testosterone Boosting Supplements Pt 1 article – You can see the types of supplements that I Supplementsdo recommend for effective testosterone boosting and I cover the first three supplements at the top of the below list in greater details, including recommended daily amounts and brands to purchase, you can check out that article here:

As a recap these are all the testosterone boosting supplements that I recommend:

  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Boron
  • Vitamin D3 & K2
  • Omega 3
  • Selenium
  • Vitamin C
  • Ashwagandha
  • Ginger
  • Fenugreek
  • D-Aspartic Acid
  • Creatine
  • B Vitamins
  • DIM
  • Pine Pollen

In part two of this article, we will be covering Vitamin D3 & K2 and Omega 3 supplements in greater detail and why I recommend them.

Vitamin D3 & K2

These two supplements are usually combined to ensure that calcium is received and utilized by the body effectively. Vitamin D3 makes sure that calcium is absorbed in to the body easily and then K2 activates a protein called this then integrates calcium in to the bone, in short without D3 and K2, calcium cannot do its job effectively and that is why they often come as a combined supplement.

That aside both Vitamin D3 and K2 have their own individual benefits & are a natural testosterone booster; and we’re going to look at these both in greater detail below.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D in its active form acts as a steroid hormone in the body, with the main source of Vitamin D being natural sunlight. As the majority of us now get little sunlight exposure, large portions of the population are low or deficient in vitamin D as a result. It is believed that increasing vitamin D levels is a natural testosterone booster and improves multiple other areas of health including:

  • Regulation of insulin levels and aiding the management of diabetes
  • Maintaining the health of bones & teeth
  • Influencing the expression of the genes involved in cancer developmentTwo types of supplements
  • Supporting the health of the brain, immune system and nervous system
  • Supporting lung function & cardiovascular health

There have been multiple studies conducted looking in to the correlation between vitamin D and being a natural testosterone booster, these have shown that increased vitamin D levels is natural testosterone booster.

In one study that went on for 12 months, sixty-five men were split into two groups, one group took 3,300 IU of vitamin D daily and the other group didn’t do anything different. In the group that were supplementing, it was found that levels Vitamin D levels were doubled and their testosterone levels increased by around 20.

At the moment consensus is that the recommended daily intake for Vitamin D is 400–800 IU/ 10–20 micrograms. There is however a newer school of thought that a higher daily intake of 1000–4000 IU/ 25–100 micrograms is ideal, I personally side with the latter advice, especially if you are aiming to increase testosterone production and if you have a darker complexion.

Vitamin K2

When it comes to testosterone production, Vitamin K2 contains a compound called Menaquinone-4. Menaquinone-4 is believed to increase testosterone production in the testes, sadly there haven’t been any human studies to date; but there have been rat studies which show a lot of potential for Menaquinone-4 leading to increased T production. These rat studies have led to the belief that Vitamin K2 & Menaquinone-4 has the same effect on humans as far as being a natural testosterone booster.

Vitamin K also benefits the body in multiple other ways, including improving the following:

  • Cognitive health
  • Heart health
  • Bone health

Your body stores any vitamin K that isn’t utilized so the recommended daily amounts are a rough estimate, with that, the recommended daily intake of vitamin K for an adult woman is approximately 90 micro grams and for adult males is approximately 120 mcg per day.

I’m going to be publishing an article shortly, reviewing what I believe to be the best D3 & K2 combined supplements on the market. Omega 3

Omega 3 is an anti-inflammatory, reduced inflammation is an effective natural testosterone booster, as it enables the testes and other areas of the body responsible for testosterone production, to perform more effectively. On top of this getting enough Omega 3 helps with your health in multiple additional ways including:

  • Reducing weight and waist size
  • Preventing Asthma
  • Improving heart health
  • Supporting infant brain development
  • Promoting Bone Health
  • Supporting mental health (Reduced risk of depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and dementia)Blue & White Supplements

There are actually three main types of omega-3 fatty acid:

  • DHA (Comes from fish)
  • EPA (Comes from fish)
  • ALA (Comes from plants)

There is no agreed consensus as how much omega-3 a person needs, although research suggests that different age groups, sexes etc. need different volumes and that higher intakes of omega-3 can help with certain health conditions.

As a bare minimum most health bodies/ organisations seems to recommend adults need a minimum of 0.25 gram of EPA & DHA and the adult women need a minimum of 1.1g of ALA with men need 1.6g respectively.

You normally get enough ALA from your diet, it EPA & DHA which people tend to lack & any high quality omega 3 supplements will provide you with both.

The same as with the Vitamin D3 & K2 supplements, I’ll be releasing an article soon, going through the top Omega 3 supplements available online. Till then check out the Omega 3 supplements I currently use and have previously used. Again they can be purchased on Amazon and come with purchase protection that provides, check them out.
