About Testosterone Tips
What is Testosterone?
Testosterone is the main sex hormone and anabolic steroid in males, responsible for the development of testes, building muscle and bone mass, distributing fat around the body, functionality of sex drive, and the growth of body hair.
To produce testosterone, the Leydig cells in the testes convert cholesterol into testosterone, triggered by signals from the pituitary gland. Testosterone joins the blood, migrating to all parts of the body, and reaches hormone receptors in almost every cell in the body – completing production.
In other words, testosterone is the reason you can be strong, energetic, and want the attention of attractive women.
Why it’s important?
When you don’t have optimal levels of testosterone, it can lead to dysfunction in the parts of the body normally regulated by the hormone.
When a man has low testosterone, he may experience reduced sex drive, erectile dysfunction, low sperm count, enlarged or swollen breast tissue, loss of body hair, loss of muscle bulk, loss of strength, or increased body fat.
