Getting 8 Hours Of Quality Sleep Per Night
Getting a quality night of sleep, is one of the simplest ways to increase testosterone naturally. Yet somehow it is one of the major things people seem overlook/ keep to themselves!
One study showed that participants who had five hours of sleep & less, saw a decease in their testosterone levels by as much as 10% – 15%. Getting a quality nights sleep, means that the body isn’t stressed. This helps boost testosterone production, as when the body is stressed, it releases the hormone cortisol.
Cortisol is an issue for testosterone production, as when cortisol is released, it actually the inhibits the release of testosterone. It isn’t just getting 8 hours of quality of sleep that is ideal for testosterone production, being asleep before 11 PM will also help boost testosterone production.
This is due to the bodies main hormone release taking place at approximately 11:00 PM. If you are asleep by this time, you’re body is more capable of using the hormone release efficiently.
Eating White Button Mushrooms
White button mushrooms, for most parts of the world are both easy to get hold of cheap! So if you’re looking for ways to increase testosterone naturally, this is an easy one to carry out.
Surprisingly a lot of people either aren’t aware of the ways white button mushrooms boost testosterone; or for some reason, they get forgotten during these types of conversations.
They boost testosterone production, namely down to two key factors. These are as follows. White button mushrooms are a good dietary source of vitamin D; & they contain phytochemicals that inhibit the aromatase enzyme.
Vitamin D functions as a steroid hormone in the body, in studies it has been shown that it increases testosterone production.
In one year long study, men who supplemented vitamin D saw an approximate 20% increase in testosterone levels. The aromatase enzyme converts testosterone in to estrogen, needless to say if you are aiming to boost testosterone production, you want as little aromatase enzyme in your body active as possible.

This probably sounds like the least appealing of ways to increase testosterone naturally! That being said, it brings a wealth of benefits like increased alertness, stronger immune system & a boosted mood on top of boosting testosterone.
As far as increased testosterone production is concerned, a cold shower is effective due to the testicles performing at their most efficient when they are at a cooler temperature and hot water can actually disrupt testicle production.
So needless to say, efficiently operating testicles mean they are producing more testosterone.
Yoga is a great way to reduce stress & as we covered above, when the body is stressed, it releases cortisol & cortisol inhibits testosterone production. While other stress reduction techniques are effective due to reducing cortisol as well, I recommend Yoga. It is good for increased fitness & the cobra pose (pictured) when held for 200 seconds increases testosterone levels by up to 33%.
Compound Weight Lifting
I think most people recognise weight lifting as one of the best ways to increase testosterone naturally. What people seem to often miss, is that compound lifts (Think squats, deadlifts etc.) are the most effective form.
This is due to a couple of key things.
Compound lifts involve using multiple large muscle groups and the more muscle used during your lifts the more testosterone is released. As you are using multiple large muscle groups, you are normally lifting higher weights; and the heavier the weights you lift, the larger the testosterone release is.
